M. 1. In this case.

Goods were consigned by the Firm of Netmore & Co. of Macao, to W. Gillespie for sale at Hongkong; the latter person sold them and refused to account to the Partners of the Firm for the proceeds. One Mehmone and Co. addressed a strong letter to Mr. Gillespie, and told him in it, among other things, that they had felt it to be their duty to warn those friends to whom they had before recommended him.
